Hi there,

So we all know the internet is a series of tubes, not denying that. On to my main point. Does anyone know the legality of streaming audio or movie clip content? I know for audio you can stream x seconds without owning the license. I am not sure if there is such a limitation on video. I can only think that since previews for movies are distributed so widely, are those fair use to be streamed without penalty of the law? I am working with some people producing a new vidcast and it's one of the things we have to go over.

Thanks for any insight on the matter.

Anyone can google and find a really wide range of answers. I was looking for someone who maybe had experience with this. Some people in those results are saying it's fair use, others are saying legal under x seconds, etc.

It's legal under so many seconds.
If it was illegal then Youtube would be sued by every single movie maker in the world.
