First of, i'm not saying it's right nor wrong, i'm not posting links to the warez forums in question, sorry if i'm breaking a rule but i'm asking a genuine question.

Right, there is this noob who goes around Warez forums, and steals other groups "work", and claims it off as his own. It's becoming beyond a joke. So, since he is annoying, i thought "---- this guy, i'm getting his hosting closed". He uploads all the scripts to his own shared hosting account. This is how stupid he is he is using a subdomain of the main hoster, so either 1) he runs the host where he is hosting his own account, or 2) he is completly stupid.

and, so the website isn't English, it's Slovenian. Well i don't know how to speak it, so i used a translater and got my way around to the contact page, and worked out what it was asking for. Well, i sent a message in English, this was my first email:

oh this is where he is hosting: banan.cz under this domain with a free sub (not posting full) hostuju.cz (as you can see, it's not working...)

[i just looked through my sent message, it doesn't exist for some reason]

anyway, i said something like "this user is hosting illegal material on your servers, and he is distribuiting it over the internet for public download. delete his account."

i got an reply saying "[username] no warez, no illegal content hosted" close to that. well, i sent a reply back with like 30 links ALL linking to illegal material hosted on the servers, and apprently the owner said there isn't any illegal stuff uploaded?! i have alot more than 30, this is how much this kid rips crap and uploads to his account.

well the dude hasn't replied yet, and the website is still online. should i take it further? or just leave it? because this kid who is doing it, annoys the hell out of me. oh, and after the email, the website was fine etc, then i checked it, and it said "under matience, we are backing up our files". that to me, says the kid is running that host but i can't be certain.

anyway, what would you do?:confused4
this post seems big. sorry.

So why are you around these "Forums" noticing this?

because they aren't all for warez. not everyone goes to download the files. i see it as a way to find scripts i probably wouldn't have found.

How about just going straight to the DC to file a report?

How about just going straight to the DC to file a report?

when i get the IP etc, it all comes down to Banan S.r.o, which is ran by the site that wont terminate the account, banan.cz. i've tried more than one whois site, to reverse the IP, but they are all saying "we have no information for that IP address".:tired2:

Quit being so damn petty, you clearly aren't interested in the fact that he's doing something illegal; more that he's detracting attention from whatever warez forum you're on. man up, if you're going to partake in illegal activities the normal "laws" don't apply.

That was my thought on reading the first post :S

If the host is saying he's not hosting anything illegal then it may not be illegal in the country the servers are hosted in.

Considering you're a host, you shouldn't really be around those sort of forums. Now if I was their host, I'd suspend their account and ask for an explanation. But if I was just a member on those warez forums I wouldn't bother saying a thing since I shouldn't be on them in the first place.

i said before, i don't use warez forums to get nulled scripts to use for my live websites. it's just another forum, just that it's sole purpose is to share etc. but alot do share opensource scripts & general discussions etc.

plus, my personal browising habbits have nothing to do with my professional internet use.
edit: and on top of my browsing habbits on these forums, it is legal, the servers are located in China. it is only linking.

*cough* x-mobile *cough* XD

BTW, i do believe Dynash, for example, there's a warez forum i visit so much, but i don't go there do DL warez, but instead i go to the offtopic, funstuff, links and the likes, members there are much more fun than normal forums, lol.

Now, warez hosting is illegal in every country isn't it? The most i've seen is warez linking legal, and that is in some countries like HK and SW... So either way, you should go to the datacenter, unless they're really using their "own" servers maintaned by them .__.

linkings also illegal.

In China it isn't. if i am not the one uploading it, or downloading, i'm legal.
it is only sharing links, which you can get anywhere.

i thought that too, the only places where you don't get charged tax is where it's legal.
it's possiable it could be legal where he lives, but i doubt it.
and i think he is hosting his own servers, but it's not clear.
