Donation Options

Hey, just curious, do you accept donations?
I'd like to just "help the cause". (when i get a decent amount of cash in my bank)
I was looking inside the CP for the vBulletin "Paid Subscriptions" but you don't seem to have anything setup.

i don't mind the theme yet, nor the ads.
the only thing i don't see worth while is: "3) Access to a "Premium Forum" of sorts". because, well that's what the discussion is for, splitting that up would be useless in my opinion.
i don't mind anything in return, i just want to give a donation :p
After all, how many business have made money from referalls at this place? (& others)

Maybe Peo can setup a donation button somewhere so members can donate something if they want :) That way there is no set fee, no members thinking the rules don't apply to them cos they "paid" something, no segregation etc.

Premium Membership for any donation above a certain amount would be nice ;)

If Peo makes enough money from ads - then perhaps the donations should be distributed among the mods ? :) Im fairly sure they don't get paid, and while we all disagree on occasions, they do great work and probably deserve it ;)

Heh, no we don't get paid. That being said, I would not accept a dollar for my position here. As my 6+ year track record would show, I'd be here/have been here regardless of any staff position.

The only problem I see is what Jan mentioned. Some people who pay for Premium Membership might think they can ignore the rules. It appears to work on other forums though, so maybe it will work here too. I can add a donation button from Paypal until we have decided if we are going to add something like Premium Membership. Donations could for instance be used if there is an unexpected problem, like the ddos attacks we had last year.
