Seems like SP3 is going to the final stages of completion...Hopefully it'll be better for my Dual Core Processor

I'm sure it took so long because they were busy figuring out how to configure SP3 to render your copy of XP inoperable and thereby force you to go out and buy Vista.

let us hope that guy isn't correct.

Well... I don't have but one or two XP PCs left in my house and they are file servers :D

All my workstations are either Macs, Linux, or Vista (which I actually love)

I would not install the beta and have chills about the actual release of sp3 for xp. I recently downloaded and installed the beta for sp3 and after everything finished updating I rebooted my computer and it would not start. I contacted microsoft and they said they knew about the problem already and it could be something with my video card or other hardware etc....

I lost all my data but was able to recover thanks to my boot partition on the drive.

The RTM has already been leaked, I installed it, noticed some performance changes, not many though.

I had a windows cd with sp3 added to it, it managed to ruin my new laptop and my friend's, so I'll stay away from sp3 for a while

I never try out Beta software as the reason it's still beta is that it's incomplete. Though I still wouldn't download when it just comes out as it still might have errors and make your PC un bootable, I would wait a few months, or just ge it when my PC breaks down and I buy a new one with SP3 on it.

SP3 has been delayed due to ""Microsoft Dynamics RMS" issues

I've already got SP3 Downloaded. Though after reading this topic I'll wait a few months before installing it.
