Hi hosts, I'm looking for a new project. I used layeredpanel in the past and really liked the idea but felt there was room for improvement!

How many of you feel you would be interested in an alternative, how many people feel there are issues with the script as it is?

I'm just trying to gauge market interest so I don't waste weeks on something there's no demand for!

thanks.

john

Well for a start, i didnt think LayeredPanel hosts were allowed to advertise here, but i guess after searching the rules, i must have been mistaken.

I get them impression people hate layered panel. Ive never used it myself, but just search the forum, people seem to dislike it, the threads (other than the offers) seem to be alot of complaints.
Im sure those who have to use it would be glad for an improved system.

The LP interface is not the best in the world, so improvement on that would be cool indeed. Function-wise, I think it covers most of what a free host is looking for.

The LP design i think is fine, it's the bugs that it has. take the filemanger etc, that is just bugged to hell.
personally, i don't like using LP as a hoster, but for a client, i don't mind, as long as i have FTP.

edit: the developers though, say you can't change the code, if you do you loose support, possibly upgrades too.

I have heard of it but never used it before. I will like to give it a try. It might be a good alternative to cpanel. It might not be as stable as cpanel.
