Creating Lots Of Subdomains

I need to find reliable hosting that will allow me to create a large number of subdomains.

cPanel currently is not built to do this, and enjoys using an absurd and ever-increasing amount of CPU with each consecutive subdomain creation.

I know software like LayeredPanel is able to create a large number of subdomains in a much more efficient way, however I don't know where I would be able to find a LayeredPanel account with unlimited subdomains where I don't have to pay for a whole reseller.

For the most part the subdomains will either be displaying as a redirect or a temporary page. I don't expect them to use a huge amount of bandwidth. Can anyone help me in this?

Well it depends on how rapid you are creating them. If you are using a script that auto sets-up 8000 subdomains, then it WILL be server intensive.
