What are the advantages and disadvantages with using OpenDNS.
I was thinking of adding it into my network.

I dont like it correcting my typos or blocking my porn :/
Seriously tho, unless your close to one of their server, is their any point?

I use OpenDNS on my entire home network and believe it or not, DNS lookups are actually faster than using Comcast's DNS servers ;)

I've used them in the past, but the only thing I don't like it the fact they cache everything you do.
OpenDNS is faster is because we run some of the largest DNS caches around and do it on our own high-performance network, running our own software. We can hold tens of millions of records and zones in local cache, saving you the extra round-trips to find the addresses.
If I had a network of 2000 computers (yes 2000 computers) about 15k from london would it be worth looking into ?

For a network of that size, I would say absolutely.

I use OpenDNS instead of using my ISP's DNS. You can control the filters so it doesn't have to block your 'favorite types of sites'.
