So some of you that were paying attention might have overheard that I just bought a 19" LCD. Well, I really wanted a 22" LCD, and I had expressed that to my family a couple weeks ago, when dreaming of the perfect computer configuration.
The 19" was perfect, and I couldn't have asked for more... but when I was at my HS graduation party on Saturday, my grandma gave me a 22" LCD... It's like... top of the line and all that :)
Then, I used some of the graduation money, and went out and bought a 512mb video card.... mmmmmmmmm
I'm like.. so crazily happy right now. :fangel:

I'm not as happy with the card as I expected I would be. It handles games perfectly, but scrolling through websites still isn't perfect.

Jesus, thats amazing. If your having issues scrolling websites thats quite an issue, certainly not typical behavior. Tried googling about this issue?

I have to agree, CRT monitors are known to last years! But then, the screen's are crap compared to LCD, or as I'm currently using, projector! (60inch screen FTW!!)

Yea, 22" is pretty awesome..I'm starting to dislike it however...
can't wait for my dual 24"s :P
And, I hate to burst your bubble, that monitor isn't really top of the line, it's fairly low-end. For one, it's using a TN panel, which has some issues with colors, etc. Don't worry, mine is too..it still works great. A higher end will likely cost you 400-500 (PVA/S-PVA or w/e panels).
The graphics card is probably giving you some issues because it is really low end as well, if you could have afforded it you could have gotten the 8600 which performs much better (or the 9600..if the price wasn't different, it's slightly better I think..depending on the model).
That said, I'm running my monitor off a 9800GTX so I've got amazing performance, I've also got an 8500GT sitting in a box that I will be plugging in to run the auxiliary monitors.

I haven't noticed anything less than perfection from this monitor. mmmmmm.
As far as the video card goes, it's something I can easily live with, I don't do much gaming anyways. When I get more free time, I'll buy a PS3 and do everything on that.

Sick monitor! And your video card isn't bad either, definitely have that issue checked out (don't think it's supposed to happen).
