I just realised that I only ever watch TV on an actual TV once a week.

Most of my TV I watch online; what with the pirate scene and even tonnes of legal ones (for the UK), such as iPlayer, 4online, ITV Play (or whatever it's called), etc etc - and now BBC3 is live online and BBC1 is coming live online very soon, I was just wondering how much of your TV do you actually watch in a box and how many through other means?

Also, just curious, what's the situation with legal TV-online in other countries?

I've been using hulu.com regularly, it's fantastic! I can't use 4od due to BT's horrendous traffic filtering (On an 8mb broadband connection I can't get higher than 50kb/s, normally around 12-13 kb/s). Can't use iplayer due to being a mac user. ITV's ----.

Hi!
I watch many cartoons online. I only go for the legal avenues..that's just me.
I have noticed something happened about two weeks ago..the ads just disappeared completely..no ads on nbc, cbs or disney...no ads anywhere.

Disney did allow me about two "Kim Possible" episodes a week as long as the ads were around. Since the ads have disappeared..so have the episodes.

I think I've been able to watch 3 in the last few weeks...sad. :(

Well...at least toon network still gives me plenty of 'toons and no ads.

iPlayer is flash, it'll work on any operating system.
4oD -- I was actually referring to 4online which is www.channel4.com/watchonline
And yeah, ITV is ---- :p
I'ma check out hulu.com. edit: US only, gay. Although it does look fantastic.

Could have been to do with the writers strike possibly.

Hm, if I have to make huge work arounds then I think doing what I currently do (ie, download it elsewhere) is working well enough.

I just found this totally awesome legla program - www.zattoo.com - it's pretty much any channel you want streaming to your PC. Uses P2P technology. Not for US though.

Well, i would watch them legally, but most legal sites refuse to show to people outside the US. Good ol IRC never let me down :D

I haven't had time to watch much, if any, tv lately. I sorely miss Stewart, Colbert, O' Brian and all my other nighttime friends.

Some channels here have online TV service for certain times of day, but I don't use it due to bandwidth costs. I've got this USB TV tuner which lets me watch telly on the PC.

I watch lots of shows online, mostly because I miss most of them, or I don't care to go to the TV

I find I can watch a lot of shows on YouTube, but some of our local networks also provide new episodes on their websites.

I prefer regular TV over online TV... When they play the same damn ads over and over on the internet, It pisses me off so bad. I've seen those stupid Toyota commercials 1,000 times.

However, I'm also getting deeply pissed off at Comedy Central for putting "Girls Gone Wild" commercials on every single commercial break. After a while the cheap sluts get annoying. I'm sick of the penis enlargement commercials as well, and that skanky Extenze -----... "It's not a gimmic, it's real science" - Like that ----- even knows what science is. She's only there cuz she gave the director a BJ.

I pay 3 digits a month for cable I almost never watch. I should probably do something about that...

Well, it has all the terrestial ones. Which, out of freeview's 30, are easily the best.

Some shows are not worth the bandwidth.
