I don't know why the hell it is, but every time I get into a relationship with a woman, other women start coming onto me. I'm talking flat out throwing themselves at me. The kind of thing I wish would happen much more often when I am single. I'm beginning to think that they can smell the relationship on me from a mile away.
Anyway, I'll tell the quick story behind this post.
Been seeing this girl for about a month now and decided that it's time to move beyond just dating. So we talk about it Monday and make it a bit more official, if you will. Fast forward to tonight.
We're pushing people out of the bar because it's that time of the night and I'm telling people good night and to drive safe as they're exiting and this attractive young lady with that whole cute, girl next door look comes right up to me, looks me right in the eye and says "Can I take you home?". My immediate reaction was a bit of a laugh and a "Yeah, absolutely." She took a step closer to me, and put one arm around me and said "I'm completely serious, I'm not drunk rambling, I drove here. Can I take you home? How long until you get off? I don't care about your girlfriend or anything." Now, I'm standing there like "Uhhhhh...." Keep in mind, I told this girl NOTHING about myself, not my name, she didn't know that I had a girlfriend, so this was pretty much all one sided. So before I manage to say anything, she goes "Actually, you know what? I'm coming out tomorrow. I will see you and I can take you home then." She winked, pulled me closer with her one arm for a bit of a hug and just walked away from me.
At which point I turn to the other bouncer standing there with me and just give him the look like... :confused4 and he just shrugged at me.
WTF? Every time, something like this happens. Not to say that I give a ----, because obviously I really like the girl that I am with but what the hell? It's like this is some kind of practical joke that gets played on me every time I'm in this situation.
