There are many problems that could have occured...
Database renaming,
username change,
password change,
host/server change,
etc.
This isn't just on VPS...es either. You'll have to compare your FLA File to the configurations of your Database in order to give problem specifics. This is too broad of a problem to assess up front.

Ok I may know what the problem is but I don't know how to fix it :(
The Source is in flash/flashfile but I am trying to access it from index.php
Would the problem be because it is located in folder 'flash' if so is there a way to fix it??

Uh, I need the actionscript you use. But it would be best to just give me the FLA file. I've changed to Ubuntu for now, so I can't check any of this anymore (Since I have too little RAM to have Wine emulate Flash CS3), sorry.
