Is there a feature of Compiz that can blur the semi-transparent areas of windows, like in Vista?

I've tried messing around with the blur plugin, but it doesn't work. No, I don't want focus blur, that causes too many problems. See this image (http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/5253/tryingblurplugwp6.png). The blur plugin also causes extreme lagging of other compiz effects (IE: viewport switching like desktop wall, and even simple moving of windows.) The lagging also occurs even on 2 GB RAM machines.

I know I should probably be asking this at the compiz-fusion forums, but I'm a little lazy so I'm asking here first before there.

Did you make sure to check the restricted drivers? (Fedora core has less restricted drivers :S)
