I'm looking around, and I thought it would be nice to have a VPS for development and whatnot. I'm looking for a Windows based VPS with IIS5.0 at least.

OS: Windows (needs IIS5.0+)
Price: I'd like it somewhere in the neighbourhood of 5-15$/month
Panel: I don't need one, I can install my own
A static IP would be nice, but not something I would pay extra for *right now*. Down the road I may, so if you don't have it in your package but have it as an add-on, let me know how much it is as an aside.

As for resources, it's just for personal/development usage right now, low specs are fine. To give an idea: I'm working on some client/server implementations that I'll be uploading to the server (server running java code) and doing some tests, nothing high usage. I'll also be running a project management application as well; it will be mostly for myself but come college I may have other people using it as well.

I'll be running Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, PHP and a source control server called Sourcegear Fortress at the least...though I know how finicky these things can be with windows (I know tomcat is) so I'm almost considering getting a VPS with linux as well (I need the windows box for Fortress). It might be something I'd consider if I could get both boxes running for 10-20$, ideally under the same controller panel (the same hypervm account or whatever..I'm not too familiar with VPS software at the moment). In that case the windows box would definitely be very low usage since it would essentially just be me working with the Fortress server from my various computers (laptop, desktop, school etc).

I'm not sure if that works, maybe I'm crazy. Let me know..it's rather late so I could be completely off :) Prefer offers in thread, no PMs please.

Take a look @ 3dgwebhosting.com - you can get one 50% off lifetime special, for 12.50 and its pretty fast service too, decent provider.

Forgot to add -I don't think PayPal is on their site however if you email them they accept PayPal.

Hello!
If you can work out on the budget I believe that we will be able to run a deal.

I'll look around to find a better price base - I think my budget is more for a linux vps, since I have seen low-specced vps for around 10-15$ running linux - I figured that price point would be too low for windows, but you never know.

Another vote for 3DG :)

I have a Windows VPS with them and it is absolutely awesome!

I went to go sign up with 3DG but they don't use paypal - which pisses me off to no end :/ I don't have a credit card at the moment so I can't exactly pay for it with one :/

EDIT: and then, I remembered what someone posted above...>.< Emailing them to see if they support it.

Try emailing their sales department... David (the owner) is usually pretty flexible and will accept payments via Paypal if you contact them.

I went with 3DG for a windows VPS and ServerComplete for a linux one. Loving the service from both so far (Daniel's awesome - David is too).

Will post reviews on them after a couple of months.
