Do you realize that you can use a debit card like a credit card in 99.9% of situations, including as a creditcard via paypal without a paypal account? Just a note ;)

If it is a Visa or Mastercard debit card, you can use it just like credit cards.

Quite odd - Who is your bank if you don't mind my asking? Is it a chain like BOA or Chase, or a local company? You can always call up the bank or PayPal and find out why it's not working, because as Eclouds said, if it's Visa or MasterCard branded, you should be able to use it anywhere you can use a creditcard.

My card is Visa branded, from a local company. I called their customer service and they said that they have no partnership of any kind with PayPal so I can't use the card with PayPal.

My card is Visa branded, from a local company. I called their customer service and they said that they have no partnership of any kind with PayPal so I can't use the card with PayPal.

They don't have to as long as the card says visa on it it should be able to be used with paypal.
