I want to say "donate", as in money, in German. I know of "spenden" and "stiften" but I'm not sure which to use. If the donation is of money and its size can vary from either very small or very large or anywhere in between, which should I use?

I'd say "Geld shenken" (give money, donate)

oops ;)

Anyway, okay, schenken. I would have thought that would only apply to a Geschenk, but I guess money can be a present too. All right, thank you-- the two of you, ihr. :)
