The old thread is gone due to recent happenings here at FWS.
Anyways, I took note of some suggestions and constructive critisism etc, and have made changes.

Would appreciate some more feedback and ideas.
@ Yun, can you post those typos etc that you found again bud?

Personal opinion. The left sidebar needs to be a bit smaller. [Not as wide]

No worries mate. Will bring that down 50px later today. Thanks.

Just my personal opinion Dan, but I think the front page needs some colour brought to it. You have a simple colour scheme and it works, but for people to show more interest in your services it needs to catch the eye I guess. Howabout a Js slideshow of your portfolio in the content or something ?
Anyway, just a thought.;)

Please do not get offended, but your web site looks small in my 19' screen and I think that you need to work on your logo. IMO if that is flash that will be more attractive

Well Dan, they're gone ;).
Here's some constructive thoughts as opposed to the previous time:
- The background looks nicer now.
- The header image looks a little bit "tight". The words from the border seem a little bit squeezed. Maybe shift the whole header + quote a little further from the borders? :)
- You could try rounded corners and a nice gradient from the content box to the background.
- As someone said above, the left sidebar is too big, would be nice to smallen it.
Other than that, it seems sweet! :)

I like it personally Dan,
I agree with your style of design, who needs all these fancy templates when you can have a nice sleek & simple one.
As Serverpoint says, It would look cracking just a tad wider on the screen!
Well Done

Thanks guys.
I made the layout 800px in width. But I guess I can make a tad bigger and make the side panel smaller.
Regarding a Flash header looking better, maybe it would but I point blank refuse to use flash and I am currently doing a design for a local dispensary and advised them against using flash also for the simple reason, not everyone likes it and people with slow connections etc, it would take forever to load.
I like simple designs and I guess, that's just my preference.
But I do really respect your opinions and suggestions and am always willing to take them on board. Once the comments are friendly and constructive and informative, I am never offended.
Thanks again. Would love more ideas. Really want to make this work.
Edit: I have made the side panel 200px

I like that idea dude. Can you recommend any scripts that I could easily implement into a HTML page? If so, I would do a page for a portfolio rather than use WP.

Dan, everything is ok.
Java might be not supported with some browsers. Better do something that will work with any browser

Thanks mate.
I am thinking of doing a static HTML Portfolio page. Like, thumbnail image on the left and details on the right. And maybe place the latest design on the main page where the screen shot will link to the portfolio page.

Cheers.
Yeah that's Wordpress with a Portfolio theme that's available for free on the web. The link is at the bottom of the page for those who want to use it. Not made by me obviously. :P
