Tell him to buy you some more? In terms of "Chips" you mean "crisps" too, yes?

get some chili's take the seeds, and smash them with something to jet just enough juice that is really hot, add it to a beer, and give to the culprit.

...Why can't British people just get with the program already? Yes, "crisps" are "chips." I'm sure ours taste better, too.

No. We say fries when we mean french fries. Crisps when we mean really thin baked/fried cold flavoured snacks, and chips are.. a bit like potato wedges, I guess.

It's not my fault you Americans are back to front with your wording :(

Fries are thin chips.
Chips are normal size, fatter than fries.
Crisps are "baked or maize snacks", or just generally Walkers.

Almost the same thing my dear Uzbekian friend :)

Us Canadians are always right!
Chips: those things that are like fried and you buy them at the store in those little or big bags.
Fries: Long thin strips of potatoe
Wedges: Exactly how it sounds, fat french fries :P

Europe did it first, therefore the European spelling is the correct one.

actually Devin, the potato chips that we have here in the USA were first invented in NY. before then, english chips were called chips here too. our potato chips were originally called Saratogo Chips when they were first made, and then changed eventually to potato chips.
