Name the panels

Name any or all panels that you know of. Then list some recommendations.
Free or paid. But, I'd prefer them to be usable by a linux system.
(Ex. cPanel, Directadmin, etc)

LXAdmin - Most people tend to dislike LXAdmin, but I have to say that I've started to use it for personal things lately and well, I love it.

Webmin - Doesn't come with SQL by default and can be an --- to setup in the first instance.

But, if you still say so. You'll be needing a reason. I hope "its paid" isn't you reason.

if you are looking at resource usage. lxadmin uses the least followed by DirectAdmin and then by cPanel

DirectAdmin is pretty nice, but the new cPanel 11.24 seems to be great as well. It's no longer a resource hog as it used to be, but it still doesn't come anywhere near DA in that respect.

Also, pricing for DA seems to be a lot more reasonable than cPanel.

Well, from what I've looked into. LxAdmin only supports up to 40 domains by default. And to support more than that, I'd have to go deep into my wallet.

webmin/virtualmin can run at 8mb ram, lol
but too bad, it lack of too manythings....
but still, it is good enough for a small host that only host a few sites, coz it is able to run in a very tiny VPS

cPanel makes it easy to do everything, you barely have to go into SSH. The API is great. Its easy to setup. Its easy to install. Its got a lot of plugins/addons. You can rebuild apache through a GUI.

I see no good reason to not use cPanel, if cPanel is going to be a resource hog imagine what will happen when you get clients. cPanel is hungry, but not so much that I would consider using anything else on a clients machine/service ... as mentioned, I most like the easy apache scripts and the amount of user contributed content on the net to help resellers/hosts who are starting out is second to none.

If it's just a change of scenery you're wanting, I'd suggest vhcs, that was nice last time I used that ...

Yet, you stated basically, its eye-candy and that is does hog resources. DirectAdmin is about the same. But, uses a bit less resources. Its also quite easy to make a layout/template for. I made one while I had it. Looked pretty good. Although, cPanel is also becoming one of the most expensive panels to buy.

Not trying to start a flame war here, but people are entitled to their own opinion and you have no right to deny them that right.

As for the panels, I would have to say DirectAdmin is my favorite.
