View Full Version : Might be Joining a Band here in Bendigo

So I got in touch with these two blokes here in Bendigo who are in need of a new drummer because their current one is giving up.
Had a coffee with one of them today and met the other one shortly after for a brief chat.
Anyway, I have a jam session with them this Wednesday night to see how we click.
They are both almost twice my age. But that's neither here nor there.

The style of music they do is 50's, 60's and 70's Classic Rock. So that's fairly up my street.

The band is called "Corvettes".

Anyway, I will keep you updated.

I am bored while waiting for Resellers Club to migrate EST Domains Clients to Directi so just said I would share that useless piece of information with you.

Ah there won't be any I reckon.
They are just a typical gigging covers band man. Pubs and private functions.

Audition with the band at six out at White Hills.

LOL. Audition went ok I think. Will know next week. They have another drummer to go through on Sunday.

Got the dreaded phone call a few minutes ago.
The other drummer had more experience so he got the job.
Oh well, will keep trying. :)

I'd have a Jam with you Danno, but I don't think you're into my type of music, nor do I believe that I am really experienced enough. (Also a 3 hour drive both ways)

Yeah I will be putting some ads out there in some local Muso shops and probably in the local rag to see if I can generate some interest.
It's all good. Bands are always in need of drummers and drummers with vocal ability are hard to find these days. :)
