Where to start...
I signed up to them about a week ago, then not 5 hours after my payment was confirmed, I received an email saying that my VPS has been delayed 24 - 48 hours.
So I say to myself, that's all good... No rush.
------------- 3 Days pass by ---------------------
Where's my VPS?!? No Emails or anything.
So I contact BoxVPS and receive no response.
------------- 1 more Day passes by ---------------------
I open a dispute with PayPal.
------------- 2 Days pass by ---------------------
I receive a refund (locked funds) from BoxVPS
All good. That's cool. I can wait a bit for that money.
------------- 1 Day passes by ---------------------
I call PayPal to find out the status of this and they say;
"When a refund is locked, it's like an eCheck. It takes time to clear."
------------- 9 hours pass by ---------------------
I receive an email from PayPal saying that they are canceling my refund and only giving me $16.73 instead of my $50 USD!
WTF!?! That's ----ing outragous! I don't care if PayPal cannot get the full amount from BoxVPS, they should ----ing pay for it. What is this?
I guess it could have been a misunderstanding... I've emailed PayPal saying;
"So... Out of $50USD of my hard earned money, you give me $16.73 USD in return.
Is this a JOKE!?!"
Waiting on a reply from PayPal.
This is NOT the second time PayPal has let me down.
And I have lost over $3,000 USD due to PayPal ----ing me over!
So, long term solution,
Everyone Stay away from BoxVPS.Com!

There it is. That's it. You'll hear no more.
Chances are, the bollix took the money from his PayPal account and ran and that's why there was only the amount they sent you.

Have you tried calling paypal about the money? They're nicer over the phone than on support.

Called PayPal over the phone,
Andrew from PayPal said;
"We will continue to attempt to recover the funds from the seller, their account is in limited mode and suspended until they pay back the full amount."
So I asked him;
"Does this mean that I will get my money? Or is it just going to be another write off?"
Andrew from PayPal said;
"Well there is no guarantee as with standard transactions there is no buyer protection, but we will try to recover the funds"
What are your thoughts? I guess I'll just have to write off those funds.
I've contacted the seller asking them what is going on with my money, no response yet.

I agree chances are you wont hear back from them. TO use paypal again he has to pay you back or get a prepaid credit card for 5$ and make a new account. Chances are he would do that :)

Got a response from an email I sent to the seller;
"Seems we had an issue with the account it was pulled from. You will receive a full refund if you have not already."
My Email;
"Hey umm... Whats happened to my refund that you sent me?
I'm told I'll get my money back ($50 USD) and all I got was $16.73 USD and a splitting headache.
Am I going to get the remaining $33.27USD or what?"

Ok, the latest update guys;
I received the remaining $33.73 USD and it's all gone through. This marks a new revolution for paypal users (Finally) But that was a big pain in the backside. All I can say is, thank god it wasn't more money!

The fact that they don't have $33 in their account is definitely not a good sign. Glad you got your money back though.

Thanks for the info on that just hope it will stop another user making same mistake. To be honest I do not like paypal but that rant is for another day! BoxVPS should not have charged you anything unless they gave you a vps. If they didn't give full refund surely you can re-claim via paypal??

We are sorry to hear about the troubles you encountered. I have directly looked into this issue.
We have been with Paypal for just about 5 years now(reputable seller (https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=paypal%40mabushosting%2enet)).This problem encountered when we switched linked bank accounts(its not that we did not have money in our account or that we did not want to refund you) the refund was linked to a bank account we de-linked which reversed a portion of the refund(The amount used from the de-linked bank. Paypals system handles this with their own policy's. We have never ran into this issue before[5 years]). The second we noticed the issue we contacted Paypal(to fix the hold and correct the pending refund) which they did right away(knowing You are their Client as well as Ours).
We stayed in instant communications with you at all times(with multiple solutions). Sending you the remaining balance directly(not using the refund feature just to resolve your concern instantly etc..)
We want to offer anyone 50% off for reading this and still giving us a try.(coupon: 50off)
Contact Me or support@boxvps.com directly(at any time) for any concerns.

We had posted a reply(that never made it through). If this one makes it we will repost.
Short summary(We have been with Paypal for 5 years, Its not that there was no money in Our account, It was the process/policy of how Paypal handles a refund when a bank account was de-linked). The second we noticed this issue we offered to directly send the remaining balance etc..(anything to make Our client and Paypals happy). Paypal instantly fixed/resolved all issues in 1 5 minute phone call(Being with them 5 years, their support is amazing the last 1-2. Instant quality phone support.)
