This is not 100% true. I´ll try to tell you whats happen to me, before I know & use the redirector-service of nxus.de:

After launching my Homepage for the first time, I was searching
a "scene-friendly" redirector service.
At this time most of similar pages as mine was using a redirector
called "scene.as" and a few month later "scene.as" have has begun to get sometimes unreachable. For a short time after that everything seems to be good again and I was thinking that no more downtimes or anything else will happend again.
A mistake!
They stopped redirekting to all member pages and shows adds like banners and dialer-downloads. I was so angry that I realy wanna to *badword* them off and *badword* in there heads.
I have lost the most of my visitors and my inbox was full of SPAM and derogative emails. That was like a hard hit in my face!

I was looking for another (german language) free redirector but without any result. One of my friends of the german communitys told my a few details of nxus.de. First I ignored the informations and was working hard to get my lost visitors back to my site.
I tried this with a url like -> http://members.hoster.tld/home/~user
and blame myself with that. While I was rebuilding the page I got new contacts and I reached the founder of nxus.de without knowing it.
I have meet him often in ICQ and my emotion told me that he is ok. Later he told me about nxus.de and i begun to use it. From other people I heared later, that he have sponsored many other similar projects and talented user from the scene & legal arts.

Summary:
1. scene.as not from germany it only used german-language

2. the founder of http://nxus.de is known as a serious and honorable person and will lost the most of his good image when he tried to make some bugs by puting spontaneous advert.

3. and why shouldn´t everybody use this free redirector at this moment with the guarantee of no Adds?
We can use another service in minutes if it changed ;)

scene.as was german
the owner of it made a site with the name "Coolashackawarez" or something the page of him is still there, and on the main page there were links to warez pages.
dunno about, nxus, but i know that the most german redirects allow warez, i dont want to post urls...
