Hello dear hosters and clients,

I am working on a project to offer simple 3rd level domain registration and web hostnig system. Now I want to hear your opinion about what features should we provide.

To make it more clear. Our system will give you a simple domain name like yourname DOT 2ndleveldomin DOT 1stleveldomain. This will come with an integrated web hosting system, that will allow you to publish unlimited number of web pages and upload unlimited photos in a categoried. This will also have feed back form, spam protection, gmail email account, discussion forum etc.

Now am I missing some thing. This whole package will be given free of cost. ie domain name registration and web site hosting and without any annoying ads on your site.

Now tell me, what other features should we develop to make it more useful for the end user. Our goal is to integrate all sorts of usefuly dynamic web apps into one system.

I think the ability to use the domain at another hosting provider would be important, too, much in the same way as CO.CC allows.

I believe that everyone who comes to the free web hosting provider has web hosting account already

I used co.cc a while ago for a mini site.

Ok, nice extension, not too bad a site. They had a decent control panel too.

Opera somehow forgets my password, I can't log in. I try reset password, I try 8 or so common low security varitions i use. Nope nothing.

On another note, you could provide good and clear info on how to set up your service for a wide variety of services, eg: Google Apps, Blogger etc

I emailed support from the registered email address and then they ask me a whole load of security questions including 'whats your email', not impressed.

Don't fall to co.cc they will sell off your account when you register it past 1 year. Not many people known about co.cc background. Also if any site that use co.cc get too much traffic there's chance they'll toy your account by sell off into deep prize. Don't your ever curious why there're some co.cc subdomains sell very different prize?

There're 2 type here for doing both free domains & their free hosting
1. Free hosting & Free subdomians but split service: That means free subdomains will be public service they can use your free subdomains to point to any other ns1, ns2 hosting server.
2. Free hosting with free subdomains xx.xx short: That means user will get free hosting with xx.xx subdomains and feel like to throw away those co.cc, uni.cc or co.nr

Have you ever use http://freedns.afraid.org? They make a service by use ns1 for all body want to give away free subdomain themselves like this:
http://freedns.afraid.org/domain/registry/

There're several users hosting their free dns themselves a lot better than co.cc no sell off.

Yep, that thought did cross my mind and since then i've seen a lot of bad press surrounding them.
