ok any1 help me please any host which gives the following:

- ftp access
-mysql
- it is quite fast
- good amount of webspace
- no ads or pop ups
- also in english

and also the host must not be tripod.co.uk it is rubbish

OH c'mon what for forum do you want to run????

There are only crappy hosts with mysql and php(i suppose you want php and def not cgi...)

Dream on lad, you won't find any, maybe if you would alow very anoying adds, and you're not going to run php, coolfreepages.com is something for you :D

use tthe search feature of this board and look for "Host.sk Translation" then just use host.sk :p

None of them are reliable enough to host a forum...and nobody will come to your forum either.

netfirms.com is the only host which allows "forums only", but they have lots of ads

actually, i think host.sk is somewhat reliable compared to most free hosts out there, i mean, they've been around for a long time it seems and i don't think they will die soon. i would definately try them.

Actually it depends what the paid hosting is offering, Host.sk has no bw/space limits [theireticly] (I didn't mention unlimited!), they used to be heaps slow because of all the warez because of what they offer, a little while ago they cleaned it all out so now its perfect for a forum. Features: PHP, MySQL, no space limit, no bandwidth limit, FTP access, Shell access, Web-based e-mail (youraccount@host.sk) etc......
