Hello, I have a client who wishes to have WebMin on his server, at the min we don't have this control panel on our servers, we just use the usual cPanel. We have it installed and ready to use but we then ran into a problem. IPTables won't allow us to access any of the ports we will need, we have tried to configure the ports so as it actually works but still no luck, we disabled IPTables too to see if this works but still it doesn't. If anyone has any more suggestions please suggest.

Do you have client for the dedicated server? Or he is the one on the shared account?

Are you sure that there may be no other firewalls in place to prevent said ports? Like a hardware firewall at the ISP level?

The ports for Webmin is open with the hardware firewalls, the IPTables is the only one active on the VPS I'm using or trying to install it on.

If you install APF you will find it is much easier to open/close ports.

Why not do a completely clean installation. Wipe the server, then install CentOS or RedHat, then install webmin on to it.

As glen suggested it is better to wipe of everything, do a clean install then try installing webmin, i never seen webmin showing issues while installing.

Is this to be installed in a dedicated server or VPS server?
