I was just wondering of there is anyway I could run apache in the background? Or ANYTHING in the background that would enable me to have PHP capabilities.
I am building my family a kind of personal email for our family notes, like "I'll be home at 5:00" type thing to eachother, and I need to run apache so I can have PHP running.
My family is not at all computer-ish, so they don't want to go and open apache and stuff, I want it just to startup and run the background. Is there a different server that does this or can Apache do it?
Thanx

Oh, I mean to run it so you don't see the window on the start bar thing, or in the spot where the time is displayed... Dunno what they're called...

Ok, enough about this Alex guy... So is there a way to enable PHP with a program in the background?
And in your explenation, if you have one, you can tell me who Alex is... :D

It's because Alex was ExtremeTeen88. Wow, this guy's name has three 8's in it. Big deal. Anyway, there are programs that allow you to right click the minimize button and it puts it in the system tray instead of the bar. Maybe use one of those and run apache w/ php and just minimize it in the system tray?
