According to openprinting.org, I need to get an RPM package of a driver from the manufacturer's website (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=334&modelid=16981), but the canon usa support site does not have a linux selection under "Select OS." So I googled the driver package, and sure enough, it's not available from Canon USA, but Canon Europe has it.

However, when trying to open the TAR File with 7-zip on windows, it says it cannot open the file as an archive. Is the download corrupted?
