It has potential. But I'm still waiting for Scientists to put a whole heap of nanobots into a crystal form, that convert water into mass amounts of energy at the drop of a hat ;)

I believe 12TB DVDs are possible. However, are you really going to be able to utilize the 12TB? If you could, it would take a ong time even for today's technology. An 18X drive will take a few thousand hours to burn 12TB... hooray...

I'm gonna go with: Its a waste of money to develop them.
Why? Because one small scratch deletes most of your data.
