images to be saved are always BMP why?

Hi

i'm using IE6 at work (can't upgrade or use different browser because this is work PC)

anyhow, previously when i want to save any image, i simple click right click, and choose " save picture as "

previously, the pictures used to be downloaded as JPG

now suddenly they're downloaded as BMP (which is big)

also, previously, when saving any picture the file name is exactly the same as the original image in the site, now all images get the same name (untitled)

how to fix it back to normal?

and NO, all the images i'm trying to save are JPG and NOT BMP, i even tried to save an old one (which i already saved before as JPG) i tried to save it today and it came as BMP.....

what's the problem and how to fix it?

I just googled it. I remember this haooening to me, but i couoldnt remember why.

clearing temporary files should fix it.

I used to have this problem on Windows XP a lot. This thread should help quite a few people still on XP. :) I haven't heard of it happening on Vista yet.
