Just Wondering. I currently have the second battery listed in my machine, which only lasts about 2 hours fully charged.

If they are the same output voltage and connect the same, then yaeh, although you will get less life out of the second one. if they are not the same voltage, then be careful cause you could fry something with one of them.

I would contact the laptop manufacturer and ask them about it.

I would contact the laptop manufacturer and ask them about it.

They would probably tell me to look at the product specifications, which is where I got that information in the first post. I don't really want to call them directly though, no Gateway Stores exist in my city anymore (yes, there used to be one.) So even if I do call them, they may send me god knows where to another Gateway Store.

Wait...gateway...? *eye twitches*...Noting that...the battery may make your laptop explode.

Like i said, the key thing is voltage. If they both have the same voltage, then you are good to go.

I returned the laptop to wait until fall to check out new lappies then.
