So I log in and start poking around, lets see what kind of box this is, kind of vitalization, all that fun stuff. Oh I also installed Plesk (Full Install), and Updated Windows with a successful install of IE 8.

Server Specs
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
512 MB of RAM
25 GB Disk Space
1Gbit Network
VMWare

I started to do some speed test from the box and I would also like others to test it out for me as well.

From VPS Speedtest.net

Public Download Test:
http://38.100.214.58/Mom_Sky_Dive.zip - 50 MB Video of my mom skydiving.

So far I have emailed Sales and Support a few times to get a few questions answered, Support has been pretty quick, Sales longer. Overall I can't complain especially for a $11 Windows VPS.

My speed tests have been all over the board from 400k to 30Mbit, but I still can't complain.

Thanks,
Anthony

Morning,
No questions but a bit of a review. The idea of a $10 Windows VPS made me pretty questionable, but they deliver what they claim.
Thanks,

Thanks,
How is this even legal?

I'm pretty sure Windows license itself will cost twice as much.

Either they are running legal, or there copy is not blocked at MS yet, as I was able to update, install IE 8, and pass the genuine copy test.

Either way, its working. WHT has a thread going about these guys and some problems with MS, but its being traced to the DC not there copies of Windows.

It might well be just a promotion to boost sales.

Well I can add to the idea, that my first VPS from them is still going, but when I tried to order a new one, nothing, no response to my sales, and magically after I submitted a cancel request the VPS login shows up.

Since there using Paypal can't even dispute it.

Sigh.

For now days, it's no surprise. You can find many providers who offers Windows VPS's for more cheap price than this.
Check http://lowendbox.com

Anyway I think they were using datacenter edition. That's why they can offer them for cheap prices.

Yeah, the numbers don't compute here for Windows VPS hosting. There is no way it could be legit at that price with M$ and VMware licensing costs.

hell, they are down faster than their customers. Low cost brings low stabilty. I'd better buy a vps from company with good reputation.

i want to ask what is a normal price for linux VPS?

I suppose that normal price will depend on the configuration of VPS and network.

I think you need to open new thread for that. That might have much more answers.
