I am wondering how I can check the amount of graphics memory my computer is using and not the total graphics memory that it has. People say use Riva Tuner, but that's a tweaking tool.
dxdiag shows total memory, not usage.
windows vista assessment shows total memory, not usage.
Resource Monitor from task manager doesn't show graphics memory.

If you have Nvidia, use your Nvidia control panel. Likewise with ATI. Now, if you have integrated graphics (on-board video), then you can't check it because it runs off your shared RAM.

It's integrated, sadly, but has its own dedicated memory to the card itself (256 MB)
So I can't check it.

Then it'd be 256MB Dedicated RAM. Actual memory usage cannot be checked for integrated graphics.

To check on Windows XP, i can't help you but for Vista its pretty simple. Right click your desktop and choose personalize next head over to display settings and click on advanced settings, here it will tell you all your systems memory and your graphics memory, dedicated is when its a added graphics card. Hope this helped!

@frdsmth9: That still only shows TOTAL, I want what is currently being USED.
