I just bought this game the other day, but I am stuck unfortunately. I have gotten to the part of the game where you collect the "mansion" key but the side walls close in on you, and a statue comes up from behind and then one with a twirling blade comes at you to kill you.

I have tried unsuccessfully to beat this part. I was wondering if anyone else played this game and beat this part?

Is that... the remake of RE1 for the Wii? I don't remember that part... but why don't you try gamefaqs.com ? :classic2:

I'm not real sure. I just know the game is called Resident Evil Archives.

I am to the part where you collect the Mansion Key but then you get surrounded and there is no way to stop the one statue from killing you unless you put the key back.

Get the dog whistle, use it. Kill the dogs that come, get the dog collar. Examine it, find imitation key. Take mansion key, put imitation key in its place. Easy :D

Ok question....where do you get the dog whistle? The only place I found dogs is when I tried opening the main door and a dog came inside and started to attack me. Other than that, I havent seend one.

The dog whistle is in the study, where you also find the lighter.

Yeah after successfully finding some walkthrough guides that I could read and understand, I managed to find the dog whistle.

I had a key all along to get to that part from that curse book you receive in the catacombs.

I advanced a good deal more thanks to that.

Thanks for the help Erizo. Much appreciated!

No problem. Wii owners can help each other :P

Quite true. I know the next system I buy will be xbox 360. They have a lot of my kind of games for that system like shooting, racing, action, etc.

I was in fact thinking that, too. The wii is a pretty fun system and the family can play, too. But for me i'd like better games that are... well, mostly between M and a couple of T rated. But damn, it's expensive.

I was having a good time advancing real well earlier in Resident Evil. Just had to find one more mask to battle the monster, but then I was reading a walkthrough I found online and it said to kill it would take 6 fire rounds. Unfortunately got to start at the beginning now as I used the grenade launcher earlier.

O well, still a fun game.
