Hate to say this, but I liked you earlier one better. This one. (http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20550) I don't think I saw the one in between.

The site itself looks nice, but I personally do not like the graphic/logo at the top. The black text doesn't show too well; I suggest making a new one.

Overall: 86%

BTW, did you pay for that design?

-No..I didnt. Had someone make the base for me, but I heavily modified it. I'm no good at beginning from scratch, but when I start editing, I'm good at it.

-What color do you want the text to be? I have it as a photoshop file with different colors so I can just create new text. Maybe a gradient of some kind?

- The reason the front page may load slow is that I am running a news publishing script from a MySQL database..that takes a while sometimes.

-What do you mean by "center the layout"? If you mean center the table I use as a layout, I'll do that, just confirm it.

-Not enough graphics? My site isnt very graphic dependent. I may post some button links to other sites, or a screenshot or picture in my news, but other than that...no can do.

-anybody know when uni.cc updated the DNS?

If I were you I wouldn't say that if I knew they were the default colours for wbb. The forums could do with a bit of customizing.

I am changing the image on top but the rest of it's colors fit perfectly with my site.

That's some strange HTML you've got there. I count two <html>'s, one </html>, two <body>'s, two </body>'s, the <!DOCTYPE ...> is midway down the page, you've more than one title, you're using a number of proprietary arguments, the header image is almost a thousand (!) pixels wide... all culminating in the site just generally not working. The content area is only around 100 pixels wide, the rest is just blank, I'd assume that's due to one of the oddities above or one I may have missed.

mind telling me what browser you are using, and at what resolution? It looks fine for me and most users who look at it..

shizzle
March 25th, 2002, 21:17
Oh..the second HTML, and the Doctype...those are all part of another page which I used PHP include to include..

The width is that way in the picture, but I resized it in the web site...

What exactly is a proprietary argument..?

If you are changing the image anyway, may I suggest that you either make it smaller or cut it in two and use a bgcolor or background image between the pieces so the image can (virtually) stretch to fit the window size?

It looks a little funny now because it doesn't go all the way to the right in a full window @ my res. and yet it's big enough to stop me from sizing the window down to the width a prefer to read at.
If you make a bit in the middle more neutral you could cut that part out and use as background.

Gey is back = good. ;)

Mozilla 0.9.9 at 1024x768.

A proprietary argument, an argument that's only valid in one browser and unrecognized by the others.

Here's a screenshot, reduced to 16 colors and 512x360.

well that's weird...I'll try to fix it as soon as I can. Thanks for telling me!

my FTP isnt working, but Ive changed the actual image size (not what I resized it to) to a smaller size. I still have NO idea what's wrong with your thing dusty... I mean, the cell width is a percent...the PHP script may just be the problem, but I dont really know...

<EDIT>I checked the script and It's also working with precentages and not a pixel width..

Ok..I got the FTP to work..I uploaded the Programs section, the Submit an Article Section, and changed the image to a smaller size. (click reload.)
