linux wont take over but I think M$ have the right idea, their market is slowly drying up and they probley have a bit of fear windows 7 wont take off either. as more and more cheeper things become available. they are trying to get in to whats going to be down the track, otherwise down the drain they go.

I wouldnt be surprised if they start making linux compatible programs down the track.

It would be great, the only thing holding me from fully moving to Linux is the lack of MS Office support (I don't like OOO and no other software provides Exchange 2007 support)

Or an official .Net platform for linux, they might get more people using the .Net platform - on the other hand, they'll likely lose a lot of their windows server customers since they'll just use linux. And they make an absolute KILLING off windows server licensing.
