I was wondering how much a Windows Server hosting would generally run per month?

We use this at my job, and it comes in handy for all employees to collaborate with one another. We all have seperate log ins with different permissions depending on our log in.

I thought this might come in handy for my company. Thanks.

I would either recommend getting a windows server from server complete(VPS) or getting a dedicated if you can afford it.

If you would like to learn the current prices for that you need to look through offers section here. I believe here you will find a lot of web hosting offers and be able compare diffrent companies and their prices

Yeah, I will be checking into it. I find it very useful at the placing I am currently doing Customer Service for.

Should cost you a little more than Linux hosting. The real difference is the database actually. MS SQL server can be really costly.

Server Complete's VPS would be a great start.

As alemcherry said SQL Server is very costly (cheapest is $3500 for production use). However you can go with SQL Server 2008 Express which is free. You are limited to a 4GB DB but it's more than enough for most people. You can also always install MySQL instead

Either use MySQL or PostgreSQL for the database. Window's SQL server isn't that stable from previous experience.

MS SQL is very stable but very difficult to setup properly. It's meant for huge systems and most people are just not trained to use such system. If not setup properly, it does become a problem so I have to say that Schmarvin suggestions are good alternatives if you're not comfortable setting an MS SQL DB

Most web applications and other systems feel good at linux servers. So that is the main reson people not use windows which is more expensive but more stable
