I can access http://wisededi.com/ as well.
I suppose you need to be patient as that might be temporary issue and I suppose they are working on it. And that was not planned as you did not get any notification

Nor can I. Funny thing is a server I canceled over 2 weeks ago there continues to function. :knockedou

Their Shared/Reseller hosting is down also.
I've had an open support ticket since last Thursday, it was quite urgent, and required less than 1 minute of work in WHM, I got a reply from "support" on Sunday saying they will "look into it" its not been sorted yet.
I think the ---- has hit the fan, i'm looking for a new host.

Hello Guys,
Sorry to hear that the service is down, I have called the new owners to find out what is happening. I sold the business a few months back now, due to family issues, and you are right things seem to have gone crazy.
It looks like its just the Shared/Reseller network that is down (servers in WII) the dedicated line is still online.

Their website & shared/reseller hosting servers are back online, all be it running a little slow.
Still no responce on my support ticket :( & my problem still goes unresolved, meaning I cannot fully use the service given to me.

That is online now. I believe one day they find time to explain this situation to the customers. I think that something might happened and that did not depend on them

Hey,
Yea, it seems, the support gateway is not loading properly, "token error" so it looks like they changed a setting and havent gotten it updated.
Hopefully its resolved soon, I am deeply sorry you guys have gone through this. If there is anything I can do to assist please let me know.

[root@fusion ~]# ping -c4 wisededi.com
ping: unknown host wisededi.com

Ouch. Good luck to anyone who is hosted with them.

Perhaps next time the server comes back online, take a full cPanel backup then find a new host? It seems like the new owner can't manage the server properly.

I doubt you'll get a refund as the company was recently sold to someone else.

Hey oz, I can't recall the package you had send me a pm would you..
It seems from what I heard, the new owners have essentially taken 2 months of income, without paying a single bill... (approx $15K in cash), I am not sure what they were thinking. I have been called and I am going to pay these bills to get the servers online, I wont be doing any support, there be up for 30 days and then after that there be gone.
I guess this just goes to prove, you cannot trust some people no matter how good a background they had in the industry.
Sorry to all my old customers, I continue to hear that since I sold the business 2 months ago things have been going downhill... I never wanted to sell, however with the family problems, I felt a sell would mean better support for you all, but its turn the other way around :(.
If theres anything I can do to assist please let me know.

Hey guys,
I had some problems with them starting on the 4th and I decided to switch hosting companies because my support tickets stop getting answered.
In terms of getting your money back for your hosting I suggest you guys open a claim with your credit card company. If you have paid for your service with paypal they won’t do anything for you but you can do a charge back through you credit card company.
I have switch from wisededi to photonvps.com and thus far I have been very happy with their support and service. They have a support team that works throughout the day and they always answer tickets within the hour or sooner. Mention that Gabriel sent you and they may give you a discount on your first month of hosting.
In any case, good luck to everyone and hopefully everyone who is still on their servers will get their files back. Thanks for all the help Josh; you have been very helpful!

Call your bank and ask them to find the transaction and then call them you need chargeback

Ozaidum, if you paypal account is connected to your credit card you can just call you credit card company and tell them you'd like to do a charge back. They'll send you a form that you need to sign and then your credit card company will open a claim up with paypal.
I'm in the process of doing it now.

Will this work for credit cards too? I paid via Paypal using a credit card.

Call your credit card issuer and request to have the transaction reversed (a chargeback).

Will there be an extra charge? and will they ask any reasons regarding the chargeback why I'm issuing one?
thank you! :)

There may be an Administration charge, in the UK, its £25 for Mastercard and I *think* £20 for Visa. You will have to ask your credit card provider.
And yes, you will need to provide a reason for the chargeback.
Also, please be aware that you WILL get a black mark on your paypal account, and they may close your account for going behind their back.
If the card is a debit card (linked to your bank account), a chargeback is not possible, it HAS to be a credit card.

You guys realize that josh no longer owns wisededi. And is now just a consultant.
qoute from a private message with me and josh
"Hey socheaphost,
Yes, I was forced to sell as I faced serveral deaths in the family. I am a person that believes in atleast a 98% customer service rating (you cannot keep everyone happy)...
I do apologize, I would have recommended WiseDedi still, however the new owner is making a mess it seems, and I am afraid my name will be tarnished from it still.
In terms of new providers, let me know what your looking for, I can look around for you."

Interesting! I spoke to the owner of WiseDedi not too long ago, and he claimed that they owned a datacenter, or a part of one. So, I'm shocked to see that they have just vanished like this! I hope all of you that were hosted by them were able to get a refund at least?

Hello,
To confirm, Please file a chargeback, the New owners Steven and Jon have ran with over 15 thousand in customers cash without paying any of the bills... I have no idea if they prepared to move customers or what has happened.
To clear up a datacenter issue, WiseDedi under my control did not own any datacenter, instead owned floor space from 2 business. From what I have been informed, as I planned to bring as many machines on as I could with some of the cash I just got from settlements of family property, these goones didnt pay a cent, and now all the hardware is being held as collateral for the payments.
I am in the process of legally obtaining the company back under legal laws that they have destroyed the business. However I am not fimilar with United Kingdom laws so it will be a long process. I truely apologize to anyone that was hurt. Those who were shared hosting, I have spoken with a good friend of mine, and can get you $25 off the first year of hosting from a business they own. I am waiting for that to go through so that we can work on restoring some of your data.
As Richard said, Paypals been shut down by these goons, and I recommend a chargeback if you paid anything from 90 days ago.

Thanks for replying and for the updates.
That explains why the refund status in Paypal is still pending until today.
But when I apply for chargeback, Paypal might close my account?
Is there any safer way? Thanks!
