Hello all,

I thought I should come here and post a little warning to all of you who might be in the market for a new VPS provider. EnotchNetworks.com looked like a great provider, and has some really good deals but, they have no idea what their doing! I was with them for about 3 months, and just finally got sick of them, and moved all of my data to a new provider.

It all started when they offered me a great deal on an unmetered 10mbps VPS with free CPanel for $36. I knew it sounded too good to be true but, I decided to give it a try. The uptime was always good but, the server response was not at all! It was always very slow to load pages. Their support "staff" would sometimes take up to 14 hours or more to respond to tickets, and then when they did respond, it was no help at all. They actually told me in my last ticket to them that they had no diea how to fix my problem. Here is their exact response:

"Something is really wrong here and this is something that I will need you to figure out based on your configuration."

This VPS was supposed to be fully managed but, how is that supposed to happen if they don't know how to fix things? Also, I asked them about mod_userdir, and the guy didn't even know where to find that setting in the WHM. This is his response to my question about mod_userdir::

"Also you mention mod_userdir but I am not seeing it listed as that in WHM."

As you can see, they don't even know where settings are in the WHM, they're clueless! I started having trouble with the IP's assigned to my VPS after they moved everything to a new datacenter, and they never could fix it!

So, here is an honest review of their VPS services based on my 3 months with them::

1. Support: Clueless, they have no idea what they're doing, and most of the time it takes them a REALLY long time to respond to tickets. A couple of times I had to add another response to the ticket to see if they had forgotten me!

2. Uptime: I must be honest about this. The uptime was always very good, I don't recall my VPS being offline at anytime over that 3 months.

3. Server Response: The server always responded very slowly. It would take a long time to load any pages in WHM, and sometimes the page wouldn't load at all!

4. Value: I suppose that if you were looking for an "Unmanaged" VPS, this might be a good solution for you but, don't expect them to be in any hurry to help you if you do need them for something, because they won't. If they are fast about it, they probably won't know how to fix the problem anyway!

The only good thing I can say about them is that, one time I needed a day or two extension to pay my invoice, and they did do that for me. They were very helpfull in that regard but, I guess that's because they just didn't want to lose any clients.

My overall rating of EnotchNetworks.com is a 3 out of 10!

As I said, if you're looking for an unmanaged VPS, this might be a good deal for you but, if you think you may need them for anything at anytime, you should look elsewhere for a VPS!

I just moved all of my data to a new server with Virpus, and so far I have been really happy with them. I guess I should have known better than to trust one of those "Too good to be true" deals!

I just thought I should post this here to save someone else from making the same mistake that I did!

Also, before someone asks for it, the domain I had hosted with them was ABudgetWebHost.com, and many others. I just changed my nameserver IP's today, and started using the new server with Virpus.

What were the specs of this VPS? It does look like they are overselling a lot as their plans are very cheap for 1GB of RAM on a VPS.

It had the following:

1GB RAM Guaranteed / 4GB Burst
100Mbps Port
Free CPanel / WHM / Fantastico
Dual Quad Core Xeon CPU (If I remember correctly)
50GB Disc Space
10Mbps Bandwidth (Shared)
$38.95 / month on special

It was a great offer that was borderline "Too good to be true", and I guess it was, they were horiible! I don't suggest using these guys unless you're going to manage it yourself, don't need them for anything, and don't plan on hosting any clients on it.

LOL
That is sort of the deicated server accourding to the specification. That is not for the VPS
