Layout for parents company

This is a layout ive working on for my parents ive been told by many people that i should replace it with somthing simple or re-design the whole website layout or somthing

now i do want this layout to be more orginal and professional not sure what else i can do to improve it.

So here it is.

Many areas to improve:


Subtitle is unreadable, don't overkill the font with embossing and glow, make it more like the first line
Menu needs total redesign, don't use the wood if you can't process (cut) your image properly in PS

Background is ok but overall, it doesn't look professional.

Sorry to say, but you will need a complete overhaul. The menu with the wood has got to go, as with the subtext (glowing).

Definitely needs an overhaul. You've got to remember that websites now a days are simple. This would have been a fine layout 3-4 years ago... If you're wanting some help with layouts, PM us and we'll be more than happy to help you out.

Yes it tells me the URL is invalid.
