CS Squad December 15th, 2009, 04:46 yeah, M$did copy the whole thing and just change a bit colour on the layout only. more than 80% of the codes is ripped off from plurk. anyway, this is not the first time M$ is using stolen or ripped codes. even its Vista and Windows 7 is also using some of the opensource operating system codes. but too bad, M$ screwed up and didn't implement the codes properly. For Microsoft, the optics are a problem. The company is notorious for (justifiably) hunting down and prosecuting anyone who appropriates Microsoft intellectual property, especially as it relates to its flagship products, Windows and Office. Microsoft guards its code vehemently, and its partner contracts are ultra-stringent, but it's not the first time the gargantuan software empire has been accused of stealing from someone else's cookie jar. Just last month, a Windows 7 download tool was pulled after it was found to include unauthorized open-source code.
