One of my friends told me that you can use credits from AP Classes for any class you like in college. Like if I were to take AP Chemistry and get the credit I would use that credit for History in college. Is this right?
From my understanding, I thought that if i were to get college credit for AP Chemistry I could only use it for Chemistry in college.

Nope, your friend is dreaming. An AP course only goes towards the course of your choosing--that means that if you take an AP, the college that you go to can choose to give you credit depending on your score on the AP (harvard being a -----, requires a 5). That should exempt you from the introductory course.
Some colleges will reject the AP exam (if you get a 1, obviously :p), but you still can take a placement exam.

You're in Precalculus, right? In that case, take AP Honors BC Cal, like I will--most colleges like to see that on your transcript and some require at least AP AB Calculus.
