Recommend Cheap Host, Please

I am new at this, so don't really know what info to provide. I use a macintosh and want to upload a small database, no search engines, and not much traffic. I want to find a paid provider because it seems they would be more stable and I want my own domain name. Of course, I don't want to pay much. Does anyone have suggestions? My database is on Filemaker Pro, if that makes a difference.

Do you need FTP? I presume you do (if you want to upload a database), but if you don't, I'm afraid that there aren't any cheap hosts that would fit your description. Why not just go for free hosting?

Thank you for the reply. As for free hosting, I'm a little nervous about it's stability.. I've played around with photopoint and webshots and other free services, and have had them disappear with all data. I thought maybe someone with an income stream would be better.

I don't want to point all my customers to a web page that disappears.

Is my fear unfounded?

you could try www.9cy.com there a free host but very reliable ive been with them now for a while and havent had any problems yet they offer plenty of space and bandwidth along with ftp
