The table sizes don't hold. Put a spacer or something in the left column so it can't be compressed too much. When I resize the browser window the main text floats in over the left column part of the background.

But it seems a little unnecessary to use a big background picture simply to create fake columns. You already have the table. Why not use bgcolor instead and save some loading time?
