i want people to have to register and verify their e-mail address and then they are able to post comments on columns posted at my site... if anyone knows of one please let me know...

Get Newspro. Have people email you via form requesting an account. Get the full story NPA for NewsPro found through a link at their site and there you go.

thanks but do you know of any free newsboard scripts that allow user comments besides newspro? the reason i can't use newspro is because i don't want every post on the same page.

Just make a new subroutine that prints another headlines file with only a few on it.
