looks good.... I've submitted a form too. Oh, and it might be better if you were to censor the password box :)

I went to your website at http://fluxfx.net/hosting.php3 and read the rules and saw this line, "You must already have a site active on the net."
Doesn't a free webhost means you put your stuff at their location!? What am I missing...! :-) What's the point in your service if I already hade a website?
I'm just curious to know and I'm posting this to the forum since it might intrest more people.

He just wants to make sure your site is high quality. If it isn't then well that's his choice to pick if you get on the server or not ;)

well, even though you already have a website, you might not be satisfied with it, say, frequent downtimes, annoying ads, not enough space, etc. so you'd be looking for a new fwp that's better.

I intend to teach myself php and I'm looking for a host... in my eyes FluxFX seemed like a good host. I don't have a site but I'm a nice dude... See if that goes in the application(?)
Personally I would never trust anyone that says he's a nice dude, but at the other hand, I wouldn't expect new participant of my free webhost service program to have a finished site!
LeX, what's a fwp? Is that a miss-spelling of isp? if not, please gie me a hint, the word is new to me! :-)

[list=1]
What does...
[list=a]

That is one *fast* server!
Was I reading the contact info right... a 15 year old kid running this FWP?
LeX
January 29th, 2001, 08:26
Michael: yeah, why not? didn't you see who was running http://atomichosting.com?
Eclipse: *groans* I give up... :mad:
for your information, fws = free webspace, and fwh = free webhost, and they are basically the same thing, but most people just call those fwps, or singular, fwp.

The new back-compatible IP6.
My guess...

I would never use a FWP that a 15 year old is running.
I mean if things get rough... a 15 year old doesn't have the money to bail it out.
I'm not into bashing people... but I wouldn't use this service.

My guess...
those are BASE 10 "URLs", converted from BASE 256 "URLs" (your IP address), so says Koolguy or whomever.

You just bashed me! (can anyone give me the definition of the word "bash"?) :p
As long as it's reliable, who cares? *lol* besides, he says that he's only doing this as a hobby, and he probably won't accept more than 15~20 accounts or so, so even if you wanted one, you probably won't get one.

You get what you pay for! :-) It's free! If you want better options, then use your bucks!
I don't care haveing a start-up site at a young provider as long as it's running.

Bash, meaning puting people down.
If I make a site I like to know the host will be around for while.
I use paid hostingfor 90% of the stuff I do....the other stuff I don't care if there is ads and that sort or thing.
Maybe I'm just getting old :(

Right..... :rolleyes:
If you want to know the formula, you can search through the previous posts in the General section, somebody posted that there before.... if I find it, I'll post the link here.
