I am with a group who recently got a deal on a dedicated server, however I have no available domain to point the DNS to it.

Is there any service which acts like a domain and I can feel in the information.

Also, do I really need to purchase a domain. I currently have namezero and I could possibly redirect traffic to my portion of the dedicated server, is that possible. It would probley look like http://421.532.53.2.15/my-folder if so?

You need to make sure you have some sort of dns software installed on your dedicated server and then you can point your domain to it.

dns2go.com nor dot.tk will work with my situation.

There is a possible service I found at
http://www.dhs.org/

Again, I don't have the funds to purchase a domain right now so i'm looking for a SUBDOMAIN service which will act as a regular domain which I can point my DNS information to.

You can pay for a portion of a dedicated server, but you can't pay $8 for a domain name

Register a domain with someone who takes a check, cash or money order and doesn't require a credit card.

Ask around here or webhostingtalk. Plenty of hosting companies around that will gladly register you a domain via check/bank/paypal, all you have to do is ask...
