1) Make the "PHP PLANET" graphic smaller.
2) Get rid of the frame
3) Stop asking people to set their homepages to the site
4) Are the links supposed to work?
5) Add graphical navigation or a nice looking text navigation bar to make the site look better.

On a serious note why do you like frames. I hate them. They look so ugly. I'm sure there's a great alternative.

I got no problem with frames, infact they are much more convenient for the user and webpage designer...

Hmm, well, this is what I see (see attachment). I'm certain that's not what's intend, so I won't rate it. My advise would be to, well, fix it.

Its probably because a certain tag hasn't been closed.

Not really. What's convenient for the user and webpage designer is a backend powered by php and mysql. It loads super fast, doesn't look ugly, well organised, and it also means you don't have to create loads of files. My new site is using it and its very convenient.

Look if frames are used for navigation... and no scroll bar is shown then it would be nice. But some users have this big ugly scroll bar so I know what you mean. How about users that don't have experience or the time (like me) to make our pages in PHP and MySQL? Yes I know once you get it started it is no problem, but getting it started is where I don't have time. And infact what you are saying has nothing to do with the idea of frames.

Well if you don't know php and mysql the next best thing is to use the include command in php.

<?
include("pagename.html");
?>

Anyone can do that.

Your site doesn't look very big.

To me it doesn't look big. It depends what you call a big site. Anyway you could copy all the content you spent so much time typying up into a separate page and use the include command. It wouldn't take me long to do. Considering the amount of time you spend posting here I think you could spare some time for it.

Considering I actually have school work to do, including bloody essays I think not. The only reason you see me here is because I have to type these essays out. It is a large site, and that is the way it is. It focus on several prime directives. I DID NOT copy the content on the articles, and those took a while to type.

I didn't say you copied the content from somewhere else. I said that you could copy the content from your site into other files so that you could use the include command. Sorry if I confused you. By the way how many pages is your site?

Sorry Jan. Well mogawowo, don't make the same mistake I did.

As Jan said, my thread for my site is open, and you can post there.

1. the "set your homepage is annoying", get rid of it

2. the animation on the navframe is pointless and ugly

3. Thats all i saw, after 5 minutes of waiting for the stupid thing to load i closed the window

Nice site but you should make the navigation bar make the links go to the main frame with the target tag.

1. Shrink the height of the top navbar - they dwarf the options that popup onmouseover.
2. The main frame needs to be shrinked - I get a horizontal scrollbar on 1024x768 resolution. (You need to shrink the image)

Good Points

1) It loaded fast (56k)
2) The bar at the top is a nice idea but it needs to be tided up

Bad Points

1) The 'PHP Planet' logo is too big
2) Frames aren't good; I have had 2 sites with frames and it makes your pages smaller
3) One of the buttons on the top bar is only half there
4) On the frame the 'Scripts' link puts it's page in the tiny frame
5) The bar links don't work
6) People never click yes on 'Do you want your Home Page to be.....'
