You should be able to keep the domain, assuming you are registered as the owner (which is likely, however not always the case). Do you know where the domain is registered? Have access to the domain?

Also, how much space will you require? And approx. how much bandwidth?

I've heard some good things about www.hostingmatters.com as well. Also, Aletia Hosting (www.aletia.com) may be going through a tough time but I'm optimistic about their service.

Aletia hosting is actually going through a horrible time. There is a script going around their servers, that allows anybody who knows a few basic UNIX commands to SSH into their account, and have access to everybody elses files. Even to have the ability to edit them.

Many emails have been sent to them regarding the problem, they have responded saying "You cannot access other accounts through the script"

This is not a bash to another host or anything, this is what I've heard from current customers.

On another note, would you believe it, Aletia has blocked emails coming from our server! One of our customers switched from Aletia to us, and we were unable to send him his information on his Aletia account email.
