All about registration for domains.

Ok...let me explain....
Its not neccessary that people who register domain names also provide webhosting space. SO, if this is the case, that they only register domain names, then do all domain name registration providers have the DOMAIN NAME FORWARDING facility? or do i have to pay in extra bucks for this feautre?
Could some one list the good sites who ONLY register domain names.
For domain name registations how could i find if its good or bad? like its just registering the name, like u can judge a webhosting space provider by there facilities, the FTP support, and how fast your site is accessed. rite? so whats the criteria on for domain registering people?

Ok...and the last...i am a small time guy and cant afford real bucks for a space provider...cuz some are real cheap and someway to expensive...cheap means they can give u a headache.! :p

can i register a domain and forward it somewhere else? like if my friend has some space...and is generous enough to let me have it?

Not all provide this, some do for an additional cost, some included, some not at all.

What is your criteria? Best is to just ask around and see if others have used it and if they've had a positive experience.
