I dont actually know why that is so, i think the factories in singapore (where a lot of memory is made) put out a heap one month and then slow it down the next. Whenever i get my computer upgraded i let my uncle buy the stuff, cause he is a computer fix it guy and he always gets things cheply.

It has to do with economics... supply inconsistencies... you really don´t want me to get into that mumble jumble now do you?

No my uncle gets them from here (Aus) when they are at their cheapest. Somehow he knows when the prices are gonna rise and fall.

Speaking of ram, you can test how much ram you use on Windows Machines @ http://www.tweaknow.com
It shows that I have around 366-370MB free.
