how would i do this?is0lized April 6th, 2002, 20:07 how would i go about removing the zip extension from my regsitry? manni April 7th, 2002, 10:51
Select a .zip file View file properties and check what type it is (for example "WinZip File") Go to "View / Folder Options" and select "File Types" tab Find the file type for .zip and select "Remove"
Or just run regedit.exe and do it yourself :) is0lized April 8th, 2002, 02:14 Originally posted by manni Or just run regedit.exe and do it yourself :) where are they located in the registry? Jan April 8th, 2002, 02:37 I would say Manni's idea is a quicker option, but go to start/run/regedit/edit/find/*.zip keep hitting F3 till you find them all and delete them  I am very curious as to why you would want to though. Another idea is to go to add/remove programs and remove Winzip. is0lized April 8th, 2002, 02:44 i use winrar.. also it is because of this problem here (http://www.techiestalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=563) Jan April 8th, 2002, 03:04 I don't see that as a problem. I use Netscape so don't get that auto open option. I just open winzip and it shows me new files to unzip. Sheesh some people are lazy! :p But if you prefer winrar, uninstall winzip. Easy peasy! is0lized April 8th, 2002, 03:11 i dont use winzip also i uninstalled winrar and the ext from the second post on the forum, and it still did the same problem | ||||
